Basically, I have been compelled by curiosity.

So, Lovell found this paper bag full of snacks and whatnots given by a colleague of mine who just came back from a holiday. It looked like a bag of gold to her and it was so interestingly-looking because it WAS gold and shiny.

Below shows a little her going through, what we may not call a rummage but close enough.

First, you get out of momma’s reach.

Then, you pull the target down to your height and get yourself comfortable.

Next, try to reach in as deep as possible.

If your hands are not long enough, put your head in.

Check if your findings are up to your expectations.

Lastly, treat it like a trophy and parade it wherever you want to.

And not the least, when someone tries to take your prize away, SCREAM.

Hopefully, the wailing will create some high frequency sounds and scares that someone away.

380 Days Later

It’s been 380 days now, which is exactly a year and 15 days ago. Counting back the days was this incident, a scary one that I hope and pray wholeheartedly that will never, ever happen again.

Today, I flipped back her silky, tiny bunch of fringe and I saw this. Then, I asked for her permission to take a photo.

From certain angles, it looked like this. Almost invisible under specific lightings.

Hopefully, in time it will become lighter and lighter and soon blend into the colour of her skin.

Little Miss Conversationalist

Posted on

I have seen some mummies doing this but I haven’t really start recording the little precious moments when Ezekell surprises me in our conversations.

I thought I should since I read my blog all the time to reminisce the past. I sound so #foreveralone wtf.

There are some things she said that I remembered, but I have lost alot since I can’t recall them all. Also, I am hoping that these little posts will put a smile on my face in the future should the girls turn rebellious.

Alright, here goes..

Ezekell was going on about something her school that day and I was looking at my phone, going “hmmm, yes, ya..”

Suddenly, she raised her voice.

Ezekell: Mummy?!

Me: Yes darling, what?

Ezekell: You are not listening to me.

So I put the phone down and looked at her.

Me: Yes baobei, I’m listening to you.

Ezekell: No, you are not. I am talking to you and you are not looking at me. Am I in the phone, huh?! I’m not in e phone, right?

Me: *speechless*

One day, on the drive home.

Ezekell: Mummy, I don’t want to grow up and regret what I do.

Me, stunned that she even knows the existence of the word ‘regret’ or e sentence she just said. Although it didn’t come to me as big as a shock, it was somewhere there. But, before I could say anything, she continued.

Ezekell: Mummy, what does regret mean?

Trying out lemonade for e very 1st time.

Happy (Belated) Valentine’s, hubs.

2012 – this is the 5th year of our marriage,  oh how times flies.

Unlike the fairy tales, a marriage don’t usually mean happily ever after. My husband and I had gone through trials and toils, and yours truly, obviously is a horribly tough nut to crack. He had been there for me and tolerating me all this while and I would like to dedicate this post to him.

Reasons why I love him are a plenty and I had never spell them out.

1. He’s amazingly cute.

And indefinitely hot.

2.  He trusts me with our finances and he plans.

Now, that is one big trust. Till now, I have not seen/known anyone who can trust another person, albeit his wife, with all his finances.

I have girlfriends getting allowances from their husbands and when they ask for more when the money finished up, they are often asked, “Where your money go?” / “Why you spend money so fast?”

He had never once questioned me on my spending.

That is how much trust I get

3. He is the pillar of this marriage.

He has been the one holding the marriage together. I have, so many times wanted to give up because of this, because of that. He had always stand strong and told me that a marriage is a lifetime covenant, it is more than a commitment.

4. He makes sure I never, ever go hungry.

Every day, the moment I stepped into the house, he’d tell me, “Darling, your food is on the kitchen table. “

Can you find another man like this?

5. He loves me wholeheartedly, and he completes me.

He knows how to handle me, he knows what I want by simply just looking at me. Last but not least, the greatest thing he wants to achieve every day is to see me smile.

All these above are just a miserable 5 out of the so many why I love this man who put the ring on my finger, who had vowed to love me forever.

I apologise that I had not been the perfect wife for this man who has been supporting me all these while, but he has not forgotten to pick my day up just to see me smile.

Five years.. it isn’t that much of a long time compared to sweet cheesy couple who went through a 30 year marriage, but it isn’t that short either. We had already went through so much together, I hope it will continue till forever.

I thank you darling for the wonderful gifts on valentines, but you’re the best gift I can have, ever.
